6/23/21 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 that was originally sold in the commercial market after WW1. It was then reworked and issued to the German land police. The gun is all matching, has a "1920" rework mark, and has a German police "L.P.39." unit marking on the front strap. It has retained about 93-94% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, and on the front strap. Spotty oxidation here and there, most noticeable on the front strap. Comes with a nice wood grip and a period-correct magazine. The magazine appears to have a matching unit number on the tube. Excellent, shiny bore with hints of freckling here and there.
