2/20/17 - This Luger was made by Mauser in 1942 (BYF 42 marking on top of pistol). Some collectors nickname this style of Luger a "Black Widow", which refers to the fact that it has black plastic grips and magazine bottom. This variation is very highly sought after by Luger collectors due to the look, and the fact that they are only found in the last two years of production: 1941 and 1942. This pistol is in nice condition with about 95% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the slideplate and muzzle, and there is a small ding in the frame below the safety bar. It has the correct "Black Widow" grips and a correct black bottom fxo magazine. All parts are matching and correct. It has a shiny bore with strong rifling.
