10/9/17 - This is a very nice example of a WWI German Imperial Army Mauser broomhandle, that was pressed in to Weimar Army service in the early 1920's. It is marked on the rear strap with Weimar 1920 property marking, signifying Weimar Army acceptance, which is a somewhat unusual location, as most were marked in the chamber area. The gun is all matching with excellent bore and grips and presents well. All the marking are nice and sharp. The imperial proofmark is still present on the right side of the chamber. The arsenal blue around 80% with patina throughout. Great example of a military contract broomhandle that survived two wars.
