5/7/21 - This is an excellent example of a late-war "last ditch" Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military at the end of WW2. This one is all matching and has a destroyed mum stamp. These last ditch guns are characterized by crude machining, a peep sight, simplified bolt handle, and a wooden butt plate. This one is excellent condition, retaining most of its finish. There is spotty brown patina throughout. The stock is nice with minor handling marks throughout. The forgrip is a little loose. The bore is mint.
