9/11/20 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser HSC issued to the Nazi Kriegsmarine in 1943. It is of the 4th variation, characterized by the "Eagle M III/3" marking on the web of the trigger guard. Only 4,500 of this particular variation were made. This gun has retained about 90% of its original finish. The most noticeable signs of wear are areas of discoloration around the muzzle and splotchy discoloration on the top and right side of the slide. There is spotty oxidation on the gun throughout. There is minor thinning on straps where there is some dark brown patina showing through. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling. Excellent original grips and comes with one period-correct magazine.
