3/2/20 - This is an extremely rare, and beautifully mint condition Krag rifle that was produced after nazi occupation of Norway in 1943. Between 1943 and 1944 only about 3,000 of these were manufactured under German occupation. This was due to the lack of "enthusiasm" from the workers in the Norwegian krag factory after the nazi invasion. This rifle has a 3 digit serial number, "799" and is in mint condition. The rifle is all matching, including bolt, stock, butt plate, and magazine assembly. The rifle is also interestingly NOT a carbine. Most we found online offered in the past were carbines, where this has a 29 inch barrel and 50 inches in length overall. The metal is beautiful condition with minimal finish loss, yet still bares the characteristics of the nazi krag rifles with rough machine marks. The wood is equally minty with proper waffen proof stamp on the right side near the lower portion of the magazine. The only wear worth noting is on the trigger guard, but even this is minor wear. The bore is excellent with some minor residue, which likely can be cleaned without issue (9/10 overall on the bore). Fully functional and an excellent piece of history.
