8/21/19 - This is a nice example of an early Government Model Colt 1911, produced late in 1917. The original brush blue rates at 80-85% with a nice slide but notable thinning on the frame. There is also some surface freckling on both sides of the slide. Excellent grips and terrific bore. Two-tone magazine. Colt barrel with P proof on one side and boxed C on the other.
