6/30/20 - This is a fantastic Type 44 carbine as produced at Nagoya arsenal. It is an early production Nagoya Arsenal, Second Series Type 44 cavalry carbine made in 1936. Nagoya made 11,200 second series T44s from May 1936 to September 1942. Bayonet housing is the correct Type 3 variation. The original blue is excellent and receiver has desirable intact mum. Minimal bluing loss overall, mainly on trigger housing. There is some oxidation on many of the metal surfaces but no corrosion or rust. Stock is all original and never been sanded or lacquered. It does have several noticeable dings, especially on the underside. Minty bore. All matching numbers throughout.
