5/4/18 - This is a very nice German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver made at the Erfurt Arsenal pre WW1. The pistol is all matching and retains about 92% of the original "rust blue" finish. The revovler has speckling thoughout the blued finish, but this is normal aging patina. The barrel has some muzzle wear and holster wear throughout. The cylinder similarly has use and holster wear, but none of this wear is excessive and the finish is all original. The wood grips are excellent, with no cracks or chips. The bore is also excellent, with only very minor residue and excellent rifling. The markings and serial numbers are all crisp, and matching. The revolver comes with an original holster, which is scarce in its' own right. The holster has some surface cracking but is all original and in tact. Overall this is an excellent rig and an antique!
