8/21/20 - This is a G Date Mauser Luger with all matching numbers, and Mauser banner toggle. After researching this one for a while, our conclusion is that a matching banner toggle link was swapped onto this gun, but even that remains just our best guess. The serial falls just slightly outside of a small range of rare military diverted banner Lugers that were ordered roughly in the 600x-1500x range for the police initially. This one is 1948x, so we can't claim for sure that it's related and thus it's priced based on the link being swapped. The finish is original throughout with a few areas of freckling, and notable thinning of the straps. The bore has good rifling but some freckling and frost throughout. The magazine is period correct but mismatched. The grips are original and matching to the pistol. NOTE: Only the serialized magazine is included with the listing, the spare has been removed.
