3/5/19 - This is an original Nazi production French Unique model 17 pistol rig. This is known as the "Kriegsmodell", meaning it was made after the Germans took over the factory and made slight modifications to the original model 17 pistol. About half as many Kriegsmodell 17s were made compared to the standard model 17. The overall finish is about 91-93% as shown by our photos. The profile view is pretty nice but there's an area of discoloration/finish loss on the underside of the frame and slide, toward the muzzle. There's also some rub wear on the front strap and trigger guard. Minty bore. Excellent grips and proper magazine. Pistol is fully functional, though the safety lever is slightly loose. It still functions properly, though. Comes with an unmarked holster that fits the gun nicely - not sure if it is period original or post-war.
