5/12/20 - This is one of the finest examples we've offered of a scarce and desirable 1934 Mauser rig that was issued to the German Army. This gun would have been produced just before the factory switched over to HSC production, around 1940 or so. It is Eagle/N proofed which helps to determine the date. It is also Nazi test proofed on the back left side of the frame and Eagle/655 proofed, indicating it was issued to the German Army. These guns are fairly rare with an estimate of only ~8,000 procured by the army. The original finish covers about 98% of the gun in a nice high-polish finish. The high edges at back and front of slide show minor thinning, but the gun is otherwise in excellent condition. It comes with two total magazines and an original holster which is 1940 dated and Berlin marked, and has a sharp waffenamt on the closure strap. It is also marked with writing internally that appears to be the name of the soldier who carried it. The bore is shiny and strong. Grips show some age and handling wear but no chips or cracks.
