2/5/20 - This is an excellent example of a National Postal Meter M1 Carbine from World War II. The finish and stock are in excellent condition and all original. This is one of the rare makers of the M1 Carbine. The barrel is marked IBM and P. Front sight is marked but is faint (looks like N). The rear sight S marked as well as N-A. NS marked safety. It has a QU marked front strap loop with the barrel band is marked 5. Under the handguard is marked IO. The stock is NPM marked and under strap is TN marked, which is correct. Magazine is MN marked. Strap is correct and in very good condition. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling but there are a couple spots of pitting toward the muzzle end.
