10/31/18 - This is an excellent and all original M1921 Mauser "Bolo", manufactured some time in the 1930s. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. The pistol is all matching, including the grips. The original blue rates at about 97% with only minor muzzle and high edge wear. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Some fire blue is still present on small parts.
