5/22/19 - This is an exquisite G43 sniper rifle, marked ‘duv 44’ on the receiver, denoting it was made at the Berlin-Lubecker factory in 1944. All numbered parts are matching, including the stock. Terrific finish on metal parts with only minor finish loss on the barrel, and some thinning/patina on the trigger guard. Receiver, bolt cover, barrel and barrel band all have excellent original finish. The rifle is all original and correct, with multiple proper waffen proofs on the stock, receiver and scope mount. Rifle has proper cleaning rod and site hood present. Original magazine is K43 marked with maker ‘gcb’ and WaA892 markings on left side. The mount has E/359 proof. Scope is WW2 original, with very good optics, showing only minor cloudiness. Marked Gw ZF4, then dow. The stock is in terrific condition and looks great, but does have some minor cracking near the barrel band. It is clearly serialized to the gun and has two strong waffenamts. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling. Later production style handguard, which is made of a dark red/brown phenolic resin that is like a plastic. The butt stock has a repro manual inside. Lens caps on the scope show some age but not 100% certain they are original. Original sling. No import marks.
