10/7/20 - This is an excellent example of a WW2-era Smith & Wesson Victory revolver, chambered in .38 Spl. From research, the lack of property markings on this particular piece likely indicates that it was delivered by the US Defense Supply Corporation to a defense contractor or public agency that required it for guarding war-sensitive materials. It is in excellent condition, having retained about 98% of its original finish. There is very minor wear on the high edges of the cylinder and a very light roll mark. There is spotty oxidation under the finish throughout. The gun is fully functional and the action is smooth. Tight cylinder. Beautiful case-hardening on the trigger and hammer. Lanyard loop in tact. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
