1/28/20 - This is an excellent Springfield Armory M1 Garand, and the latest serial we have encountered. Production stopped just after serial 6.1 million, with only ~17 known examples of over 6,100,000. This one is fewer than 500 digits shy of that mark, and has several National Match (NM marked) parts, including barrel, operating rod, etc. Barrel is dated to May of 1952. Faint DAS cartouche on left side of stock. Bedded stock is in excellent condition with no major defects.
Terrific bore (Muzzle is a 2, throat is less than 1). Period original sling is present.
