7/26/19 - This is a beautiful, non-import SVT-40 that was made in 1941 at the Izhevsk factory. The bluing on the rifle is excellent throughout, but may be a postwar refurbish as the numbers on the rifle are mismatched throughout, as well. But the gun is not import marked, and has sharp proofs on receiver and some small parts. This rifle is in sniper configuration, and the mount appears original, though we are not experts on these. The scope is a postwar reproduction but is in fantastic condition with crystal clear optics. The stock is beautiful with hardly any flaws, and is unmarked. Bore has strong rifling but notable frost throughout.
