7/14/21 - This is an excellent example of a Remington Model 1903-A3 rifle issued to the US military in December of 1943. The receiver date matches the date on the barrel. It has an "OG" marking on the stock, indicating it was reworked at the Ogden arsenal. The metal parts were refinished and the stock was lightly sanded and given a coating of lacquer. Because of the rework, the gun has a really nice look to it. It has retained virtually all of its finish with a few small dots of discoloration around the front barrel band. The stock si excellent. You can still see faint a faint cross canon cartouche and an "FJA" inspection stamp. The bore is stone-mint.
