8/31/17 - This is a rare and very nice PDM Walther PP from 1934. It is all original and correct with about 97% high-polish blue remaining. There is no definite known meaning of the letters PDM. One possibility could be the Polizei Dienst Modell, while another is that the PDM was a weapon used by a branch of the Postschutz (post office) for postal protection. This pistol falls in the correct range and has proper features. The last three digits of the serial match the last three of the marking next to the PDM proof, as they should. The magazine is rare in that it is produced specifically for a bottom release feature, and does not have the notch in the body of the magazine that other Walther magazines do. It is an early banner mag with a nice black finger extension. Grips are nice with no major cracks. Minty bore.
