1/7/21 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military proofs. This one has a slightly dark finish. We believe it was captured by the Russians at the end of the war and "Russian-dipped". It appears, however, that it was cleaned off at some point because much of the original bluing is visible. It has retained about 96-97% of its finish. There is very minor thinning on the front strap and minor wear around the muzzle and high edges of the slide. A few very light handling marks here and there. It comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. De-cocker is functional. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
