12/21/20 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in November of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" Nazi military acceptance proofs. There is a star proof on the right side of the slide. This indicates that for some reason it failed initial inspection, went back to the factory, and passed inspection later. It has retained about 95% of its bluing. There is thinning and spotty oxidation on the front strap. It comes with excellent grips and a wartime Walther magazine. The bore is very nice - strong rifling with minor freckling in the grooves. The de-cocker does not work but the gun is completely functional otherwise.
