12/13/18 - This is a very early Nazi Navy marked Mauser HSc from 1940. It has the early high polish finish at about 98-99%. There is minor muzzle wear on each side, and a couple very minor scratches on the right side of the gun. It has the early lanyard hole in the back of the frame. All matching frame, slide and barrel. It has a correct and original Nazi Navy eagle engraved on the front strap. This listing includes a letter from Albert Severeide MD which states that he got the gun from Major J. C. Lambert, of the Adjutant Generals office. Major Lambert was one of the prosecuting attorneys at the Nuremburg Trials. Later he was involved as well with the Japanese War Crimes trials. The gun was given to Dr Severeide as a "thank you" for services rendered to help Major Lamberts wife through a critical illness while they were both stationed in Tokyo. There are many documents included to show the "chain of ownership" of this gun.
