10/5/18 - This is a very nice example of a National Postal Meter M1 Carbine from World War II. The finish and stock are in excellent, original condition with handling dings on the stock. No cracks or chips. Very smooth action and mechanicaly sound. This is one of the rare makers of the M1 Carbine. The barrel is correctly marked "UNDERWOOD" "8/44" along with an ordnance bomb. NPM did not make their own barrels. The barrel band is marked with a "UI". The stock is "NPM" marked and in the strap well is marked "TRIMBLE TN". Magazine release marked with "M" and flaming bomb. SW marked magazine. Strap is correct and in excellent condition. Fantastic bore.
