3/30/21 - This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. This particular gun has a really cool "tiger pattern" on the slide, a unique and desirable pattern sometimes seen in these guns. The frame and slide are phosphate and the barrel is blued, giving it a dual-tone appearance. The gun is excellent, retaining about 95% of its original finish. There is thinning on the front strap and very minor wear on the high edges of the slide. A few very small scratches at the front of the right side of the slide. There is a number scratched very lightly into the underside of the frame. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
