2/17/21 - This is an excellent example of a dual-tone Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The dual-tone appearance is caused by a phosphate frame and slide with a blued barrel. This one is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. It has retained about 97% of its original finish. There is a hint of wear on some of the high edges, small spots of wear on both sides of the slide, very minor thinning on the front strap, and a streak of wear on the underside of the barrel. It comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore is near-mint. De-cocker is functional.
