7/6/21 - This is an excellent example of a Colt 1911 Government Model sold in the commercial market in 1919. These guns are known for having used some leftover military parts. This one is all correct and has the proper HP barrel. It has retained about 95% of its high polish finish. There are hints of wear on the high edges and around the muzzle. There is spotty wear and patina on the back strap. There are some light scratches on the left side of the gun and a noticeable circular scratch on the right side. A few dots of oxidation here and there. Comes with excellent wood grips and a correct commercial magazine with a high polish mag bottom. The bore has decent rifling with pin-pricking throughout.
