12/27/18 - This is an excellent example of a late war Mauser P.38, marked BYF 44, and in the Z block. It also has a 3 digit serial number. The original late war finish would be in the 98% range save for the thinning front strap. The late war Mauser black plastic grips are also excellent to match the condition of the gun. It has all matching parts including the slide, frame, barrel and locking block. The gun also has the proper WaA/135 military proofs. It also comes with a proper Eagle 135 marked magazine. The bore is excellent and shiny. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Guaranteed original and authentic.
