12/2/20 - This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. Made in the Nagoya Arsenal. We believe this is a late war gun given its rough machining marks and crude wood stock. It has a wooden butt plate and a peep rear sight. The gun is all matching and has a fully in tact mum stamp on the receiver. The gun is in excellent condition, retaining almost all of its original finish. There is light patina here and there. The stock is excellent. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
