7/3/21 - This is an excellent example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military proofs. This one also has a asterisk proof on the left side of the slide, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 95-96% of its original finish. There areas of minor wear on the high edges of the slide, on the top of the barrel through the ejection port, around the muzzle, and on the underside of the trigger guard. Just a hint of thinning and patina on the front strap. Tiny freckles on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct Walther magazine. Minty bore. De-cocker is functional.
