11/3/20 - This is an excellent example of a complete Mauser Luger rig from 1939, which includes the original matching magazine, grips, spare magazine, tool, holster and capture document. The Luger is all matching with about 94-95% of the original blue remaining. There's minor finish loss on the muzzle, sideplate, bottom of front strap and ears of the receiver. The original grips are in terrific condition and fit like a glove. One of the original matching magazines is present, and a spare mismatch is also included. Tool is E/63 marked, same as the pistol. Rig is completed by an excellent holster that is also from 1939, and has a sharp waffenamt and R.EHRHARDT POESSNECK maker mark. Pistol has strong, shiny bore. Lastly, the original capture certificate is present and states the gun was brought back in November of 1945 by Pfc. Paul Gehousky. A packet of information about Gehousky is included with the sale. He was in the 12th Armored Division, 92nd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. The grouping also comes with an original sleeve patch from the 12th armored.
