5/1/18 - This is an all original and all matching German Navy Luger, dated 1917. The original finish is about 97% - no rust or pitting. The bluing is very strong throughout the gun but on the barrel there is a spot of wear on the left side and some muzzle wear on both sides. Halos are present on the serial under the barrel. All matching numbers on all numbered parts including the magazine. The magazine is a correct Navy and matching numbers, but there is a shadow of a previous number faintly visible. We cant say whether this was renumbered at the Naval arsenal or later by a collector. Everything else on this gun looks authentic and original. The left grip panel has the common tiny chip at the top where the safety lever is. Since the grips are (correctly) not numbered, we are including a spare left grip that fits pretty well. Still the original grip is the better fit.
