12/27/19 - This is an excellent, all matching DWM artillery rig from 1917. The gun is an all matching Luger with all original finish that rates at about 95 - 97%. All parts are matching numbers including the hold open and firing pin. Also the grips are matching and original to the gun. The gun comes with two matching magazines that are correct nickel mags with wood bottoms, however, we believe the mags were renumbered to match. The most obvious issue on the magazine with the "+" sign is that it is ground and then numbered. It has two imperial proofs, but most likely "forced matched" - either at an arsenal or by a collector to enhance the value. The other magazine does not look ground, and has the matching number, but no other markings. The gun itself - we have no question that it is all original and authentic. Then the magazines fit into an artillery mag pouch. This is dated 1916 and maker marked. A rare find in such nice condition. Next we have the Imperial proofed stock. It is matching numbered to the gun, and also surely original and authentic. It comes with an excellent 1917 dated holster, complete with straps, cup and all leather accessories in excellent condition considering this leather is over 100 years old. Finally, there is an Imperial proofed tool and an original artillery cleaning rod. The sum of the parts come to about 7,000 but we have this one priced to sell!
