9/18/20 - This is a beautiful 1939 Mauser Luger rig with a matching magazine from World War II. The original finish on this pistol is about 96%, with beautiful straps. The "42" is one of the factory codes that Mauser used in 1939 and 1940. All parts are matching including the magazine. The spare magazine is also matching but we don't believe the numbering is factory original. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. There is an excellent 1939 dated holster that is maker marked and waffen proofed. It has excellent stitching and beautiful leather, and a Nazi eagle embellishment on the front. Original E/655 proofed tool is included. The grips are matching to each other but not the pistol. They are numbered '34' internally, which is either a coincidence or a factory error as they do match the first two digits of the pistol and fit like a glove.
