9/26/18 - This is an original etched Kriegsmarine (navy) German WW2 dagger with the original scabbard. The dagger is made by eickhorn and has factory original etching on both sides of the blade. The blade has light oxidation and patina - mostly within the etching on the maker-stamped side. The maker stamp is Eickhorn and this blade was most likely made between 1935 and 1939. The original leather stopper is in tact and the blade has never been sharpened. The handle is excellent with no cracks or chips. The scabbard is mostly excellent, except there are a few small spots of white paint (or so it appears that way) below the first wreath of oak leaves on the scabbard. Just below this paint spatter is a very small dent in the scabbard. Overall this is a very nice collectible dagger - guaranteed all original and authentic.
