6/8/21 - This is an example of a Sauer 38h manufactured at the very end of WW2, in 1945. It has no finish, no slide legend, and no proof marks. It has an extremely late serial number. There is an "SSU" marking on the left side of the slide. We're not sure of its meaning. Overall, it is fair condition with spotty oxidation and areas of heavy pitting throughout. Two small notches at the back of the left side of the frame. Comes with post-war white grips and a WW2-era magazine. Mint bore. Because it's so late, the gun does have some mechanical issues. It does not fire in double action, the slide is a little misaligned, and the safety lever is a little loose. This gun is probably best used for parts or a conversation piece rather than as a shooter.
