4/14/20 - This is an early and hard-to-find J.P. Sauer K98 that was made in 1937 for the German Army. The rifle has all matching numbers, including the stock and all the way down to the screws. The finish shows some thinning throughout but the receiver and bolt assembly are the areas with the most blue remaining. Receiver is 1937 dated with S/147 factory code. Stock shows standard dings and nicks but is in great condition overall, and has not been sanded or lacquered. Several crisp waffenamts remain visible on the wrist and right side/underside of the stock. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Original cleaning rod is present.
