1/16/24 - This is a very nice example of an early Colt 1911A1, issued to the US Military in 1941. It is "US Property"-marked and has the proper "RS" inspector initials. "P" proofs on the frame and slide. The slide is numbered and matching to the receiver. It has a "Colt .45" barrel with a "G" under the lug. This gun has retained about ~80% of its beautiful Colt blue. The takedown lever is still fire-blued. There is minor muzzle wear, minor wear on some of the high edges, some minor thinning on the top of the slide, and an area of wear on the front strap. The most noticeable sign of wear is spotty oxidation throughout, most visible on the slide and underside of the frame and front strap. Two small areas of minor pitting around the muzzle. There are a few surface scratches here and there. Comes with excellent Colt grips and a two-tone magazine. The bore is not bad, but the rifling is a little worn and there is minor pitting throughout.
