3/23/17 - For you "odd ball" collectors, this is one you want to take a look at. This is a Spreewerke made P.38 but left in the factory at the end of the war, then reworked by the Czech's. The barrel is Crown N marked on the bottom. (Never saw that before). The right side of slide has a single Eagle 88. Left trigger guard has E and Czech lion. Right side trigger guard is 46 marked - the year is was reworked. It has a cog hammer from 1945. All numbers match, but it was renumbered or in some cases, first numbered when it was reworked, post war. It has nice Walther style grips and a post war matching numbered magazine. I don't know a lot about these guns but I know that even though they are post war assembly they are desired by collectors. The bore shows wear and spots of pitting, but has good rifling. I would call it a 6 out of 10. Only a few thousand made. No import marks.
