4/1/19 - This is a Winchester Model 12 that has been spectacularly engraved by Walter Kolouch, one of America's premier engravers. It is signed 'Eng. W. Kolouch' just above the ejection port, and features a 30" duck bill ventilated rib barrel choke, modified custom checkered large round forearm, and pistol grip stock with black waffle recoil pad. The receiver has full coverage engraved with raised gold inlays of Washington & Jefferson on each side, with Paul Revere in a colonial scene in the center. Inscriptions present include "The British Are Coming" and "The Spirit of 76". The right side features gold inlays of Samuel Adams and the American Revolutionary Fife & Drum Corps. Fine gold wire inlay is also present along the top and rear of the receiver, as well as the take down ring. The front barrel band is gold inlaid and marked "Life, Liberty And The Pursuit of Happiness", and the trigger bow is marked "Liberty And Justice". The grip cap is wonderfully engraved on a metal disk with the American eagle in exquisite detail and thirteen gold starts around the perimeter. "E Pluribus Unum" is engraved above and below the eagle. The rifle is near-mint with only minor wear on the magazine tube from the slide-action being used. It would be tough to find higher quality engraved work.
