4/26/19 - For those of you who love the rare transitional gray grip, this is one of the most colorful I have ever seen, as it is almost a bluish gray color. The gun is a transitional PPK in that it is Eagle/N (wartime) proofed but still has the high-polish finish. It is matching slide and frame. The original finish is about 95% with finish loss on both sides of the slide near the muzzle. It also comes with the blued ejection port which is also correct and transitional. The frame serial has a minor overstamp on the 5, which as you Walther collectors know, is not uncommon. The magazine is a correct wartime variation. The grip was made in the transition from brown to black. There were not many made in this transition and this one is particularly unique in color. There are "dings" on both sides of the screw hole, and a crack on the right side of the grip. Not sure how this came about but they are on both sides and render the screw escutcheons to be a bit loose. No effect on the guns operation, just aesthetics. Excellent bore - shiny and strong rifling.
