2/12/19 - This is an “as new in the box” Walther P5 pistol, made in West Germany in 1987, and date coded IH(87)on the right side of the frame. The gun appears unused, with just a few spots of handling wear from shifting inside the box that can barely be seen in the pictures. This is a much less commonly seen commercial model, imported in the late 80s and early 90s by Interarms. It has no other import markings and is not a surplus German Police gun that you would commonly see. It is a complete set with a numbered box, test target, two magazines, and a manual. The P5 was an improvement on the Walther P38 model that produced a modern gun with an enclosed barrel, but retained the robust P38 internals. A great example of an iconic, very early production Walther pistol, made around the reunification of Germany in the late 1980s.
