12/14/18 - This is an original, nice example of a Colt M1911A1 from 1944. The pistol retains about 94% original parkerized finish, with minor high edge wear and a little thinning of the top of the slide. There is also some pitting on the left side slide, especially near the muzzle. Front strap shows some browning of the finish. Slide is properly unmarked, and the pistol has all the proper inspection proofs. Excellent grips. 'R' marked magazine. Colt barrel. Bore is in good condition with minor frost throughout.
