11/10/20 - This is an original Colt M1911 from 1918 that was issued to the US Army. It has a very nice profile with standard high edge wear on the slide, but vast majority of the finish loss is on the grip frame. Barrel is a correct intertwined H P proof, visible in the ejection port. Proper inspector marks on frame - Springfield eagle. Excellent grips with no major issues, mostly just handling wear on the right side panel. The magazine is a later example with blued body and lanyard ring. Bore is very good considering the age and it has pronounced rifling and no pitting.
