7/26/21 - This is an original Colt M1911 that was made for the US Army in 1914. One of roughly 30,000 produced by Colt that year, the pistol has a nice profile view but most of the bluing loss is on the front strap, grip safety and mainspring housing. There are also several minor patches of light pitting on either side of the pistol. Proper barrel with disconnected 'P H' marking. Two-tone magazine with lanyard ring. Very nice wood grips with minor smoothing but no cracks. Bore has good rifling but there is some frost and freckling in the grooves.
