9/21/20 - This is a nice example of a British 1796 Pattern Heavy Dragoon Pistol. It is an antique and does not require an FFL. The gun has the following markings: "Crown GR" on the side plate, "Crossed Septors", and truing strike at the tang. There was a marking at the tail of the lock that has since been scrubbed. There is a "WD" marking on the left side of the stock. The lock was converted to percussion. The hammer was replaced. It has a fish/floral engraving pattern. Original ramrod is in tact. 9" barrel. The gun seems fully functional. Overall, the gun is in good condition - The metal parts are in tact, but there are small dots of patina, and small dings and divots throughout. There are small dings and dents on the stock throughout. There are two cracks on the left side, one toward the muzzle and one near the receiver. There is dried wood glue around the trigger guard. The bore is rusted throughout.
