12/22/20 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. This one is unique because it has a "black army" dull and dark finish. It is all correct and is "United States Property" marked. It has retained about 95% of its finish. The finish is a little difficult to rate because of the dull nature of the black army finish. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is a noticeable layer of dark oxidation throughout. There is wear on the takedown lever, thumb safety, and grip safety. It has very nice grips - a few tiny holes in the left panel. Comes with a nice two-tone magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pitting throughout.
