10/11/18 - This is an original WW1 production German Stein. The stein has a soldier on horseback on top of the lid. This is "Gefreiter Neumeister", which is written on the front of the stein body, and translates to "Corporal Neumeister". There are multiple inscriptions, all in excellent condition throughout the stein. The top of the stein body says something along the lines of "Proud to ride the cavalry with those we lost and those still with us". The base of the body has the dates 1901-1904. Most likely the Corporal had this made / was given to him as a gift a few years after 1904. Beautiful all original paint and design. The interior even shows a small scene for when the glass is held up empty. Guaranteed original.
