2/5/21 - This is an excellent example of the desirable Roth-Steyr Model 1907 with period holster and clip. This piece was made in 1910, and was the 41st handgun issued to the 26th Landwehr Regiment of the Imperial Austro-Hungarian army, as indicated by the grip medallion. The Imperial-Royal Landwehr, also called the Austrian Landwehr, was the territorial army of the Cisleithanian or Austrian half of the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1869 to 1918. It has about 92-94% of the original blue, with high edge wear from the holster on both sides, and some wear on the trigger guard. The holster is original but fairly worn, especially on the top flap. It has a faint internal inkstamp but no visible markings. Excellent bore and grips. Note: The consignor has original Roth 8mm ammo that can be purchased in addition to this listing.
