6/28/17 - This is a rare Army-issued Walther PPK - a variation 1 pistol with high-polish finish, of which only 3,500 were produced. The original bluing rates at nearly 98%, with only minor edge wear. Unfortunately, though, the pistol is a mismatch. The slide should also have the E/359 proof that the frame does, and the slide is Crown/N proofed while the frame is Eagle/N. Wartime magazine. Grip is in good condition but does have a minor crack on the left side. Excellent bore shows some use but no frosting or pitting.
